April 28th - Art Under the Oaks - Fundraiser for Tara Hall for Boys. Sponsored by Seaside Framing & Photography. All Day event - Bi-Lo Shopping Center, Pawleys Island.
May 2nd - 10:00 am Meeting at Lakes at Litchfield. Program: "Preparing Art for Exhibits" by Kelly Atkinson
May 4th - 5:00 - 7:30 pm Island Art Gallery Annual Spring Show/Sale and Open House - "The Magic of the Ordinary," One painting per GCWS member allowed. See Announcements page for details.
May 19th - Plein Air Paint out competition sponsored by the South Carolina Watercolor Society. The event will launch at 9:00 am from the Newberry Art Center at 1200 Main St., Newberry, SC. Open to all members. $10 entry fee. Artists can paint the town of Newberry and some special locations will be set up for artists as well. Paintings will be delivered for judging at 3:30 pm followed by an awards ceremony and reception.
June 6th - 10:00 am Meeting at the Beach (Exact location TBD). Program: "Plein Air Beach Washes" by Brenda Lawson.

October 17th - 10:00 - 4:00 Fall Workshop - Painting on Yupo - led by Paula Robertson will be held at the Litchfield Country Club. Fee is $80 plus your lunch at the club. Click here for additional information and application. Space is limited.
November 7th - 10:00 am Meeting at the Lakes at Litchfield. Program: "Encaustics" by Midge Ovenshire.
December 3rd - Drop-off of artwork (10:30 am - 4:00 pm) for members entering the 2018 GCWS Annual Art Exhibit & Sale at The Rice Museum
December 5th - 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at The Abbey, Pawleys Island. Ice Cream Social and Business Meeting.
December 8th - 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm Opening Reception and Awards Presentation for the 2018 GCWS Annual Art Exhibition & Sale at The Rice Museum, Georgetown, SC. Show ends January 5th, 2019.
